Dr. Chengyu LIU is a professor of linguistics at the College of International Studies, Southwest University, China. His major research interests include: systemic functional linguistics, discourse studies, teaching English as a second or foreign language (TESL/TEFL), teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages (TCSOL). He has published over 70 papers and 5 books in these fields.
